After 15 years in the knitwear business, Mel Koenig inadvertently became an accounting specialist for Porchlight. Mel has been the resident fashion icon since 1999, but just recently started textile weaving and taking salsa lessons in preparation for her daughter’s wedding. One of her favorite places to be is by a river or a lake, and luckily her home sits halfway between both of those in Shorewood, Wisconsin. Her house is filled with animals who may not always get along, but luckily she can escape often to attend concerts where she cheers on her musically talented husband and son in their bands.
