Last week Todd and I hosted a 100 Best event at Stanford. This was the largest gathering to date of 100 Best authors west of the Mississippi River! Joining us were Jeffrey Pfeffer and Bob Sutton, authors of The Knowing-Doing Gap; Chip Heath, with Made to Stick; and Randy Komisar, with The Monk and Riddle.
As I mentioned yesterday, we're posting a number of interviews with the authors of books in The 100 Best. Today's interview is with Strat Sherman, co-author of Control Your Destiny or Someone Else Will. This was the first book to write on the success of GE in the Jack Welch era.

It being Monday as it is, we're back at inBubbleWrap, giving away another one of The 100 Best Business Books of All Time. This week, we have The Smartest Guys in the Room: The Amazing Rise and Scandalous Fall of Enron. As Jack will tell you, it's the best narrative of the Enron saga that exists on bookshelves, and the edition that we're giving away is updated to include the Enron trial and the death of Ken Lay.
There are only a few people in the media who know business books as well as Jack and I. Hardy Green, an associate editor at BusinessWeek, is one of those people. We met with Hardy in New York two weeks ago and he quickly commenced with critiquing our selections for The 100 Best.
With more and more people doing business in other countries - it's always nice to keep an eye as to what business leaders are reading. Or, for that matter, what they are having their employees read. .

Jack and I have been working on an idea for about two years. We thought it made sense to put our knowledge about business books into a book of our own. Today, The 100 Best Business Books of All Time was released by our wonderful friends at Portfolio.
I know, I know - it's kind of a bit late for New Year's Wishes, but I'm gonna do it anyway!
